Operation Christmas Child

Its that time of year again! We will be having our 2nd annual Box Packing Party on November 17th at 4pm in the Fellowship Hall. This is a wonderful time of fellowship and is the most wonderful feeling that you get to help bless a child that would not get a christmas present if it wasnt for you!
Also donations for the boxes are greatly appreciated! Any toys and boxes that you want to donate can be dropped off at the church.

New Series Starts This Week! =)

Here is a quick summary of what we will be studying in our new series, BAND TOGETHER: The Warrior's Code.

 As Christ-followers we're a part of something bigger than ourselves. BAND TOGETHER solidifies that knowledge and reveals the awesome freedom and overflowing life that comes from knowing and following the ultimate warrior's code -- the Word of God.
We will learn together that on the cross true victory and freedom were purchased. By learning to daily live "the Code" we will discover the joys of living a life of freedom and begin to move in the power of that knowledge. We'll see for ourselves the incredible life-changing power that comes when the Body of Christ bands together, united in love. We will be ready to fight the good fight and change our generation forever!

Notes from last night!

In case you missed it, here is a highlight from last nights lesson "Jesus, God or a good man?"
"The Lewis Trilemma" says that Jesus is either:
1. A Liar
Jesus was not God and he knew it, but he purposefully lied and said he was God to deceive people.
2. A Lunatic
Jesus was crazy and not God but mistakenly believed he was God.
3. Lord
Jesus' claim to be God is 100% true!

There is no middle ground, and Jesus never wanted there to be any. He is either crazy, or God. Either a liar or Lord!!
Who do you say that he is?

Notes From Wednesday Night :)

We had an awesome study Wednesday night! Here are some highlights :)
As Christians we believe in one God, but 3 persons, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit called the Trinity. Think of it like water, it can exist in 3 phases (gas, liquid and solid) but it is still water.

God The Father's role is to be the father up in heaven overseeing everything.

God The Holy Spirit is the one here on earth, who lives inside of us, he is our  conscience, the "little small voice" that guides us.

Some attributes of God are:
He is eternal (he never began and he will never end)
He is all knowing
He is all powerful
He is everywhere all the time

Next week we continue the study of the Trinity with Jesus :)

Session 4-Creation

We had an awesome study on Creation tonight! Here are a few of the highlights
The earth is so perfectly created that the littlest change between the Earth and sun would eithor burn the Earth up or freeze it.
The Genesis account of Creation is a literal 6 days in which God created the the heavens and the earth and all that was within. (Genesis 1)

Water Wednesday!

This Wednesday night is Water Wednesday! We are going to enjoy summer and have water guns, and water balloons!! We are also going to be celebrating everyones birthday in June so come out for a great night of fun! Be sure to bring a towel and wear clothes you dont mind getting wet in :D See you all there!

Session 2~Baptism and Communion

We had a awesome bible study last night at the beach! If you missed it here are the highlights   :)
The Bible commands us to be saved and then baptized
(Acts 2:38) , it is the public display that you have given your life to Christ. It is the next step after accepting Christ as your Lord and savior.
Communion is a way to remember and be thankful what Christ has done for us.

Beach Night!!

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

Session 1-The Bible

We had a good study tonight on The Bible, here is a highlight of the lesson case you missed it!!
We learned that the bible is historically acuarate, it is consistently being proven by archeological discoveries.
